About Me

Education

Hello! My name is Evan Nosich. I am a student at Laurentian University, currently taking my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I've had a long standing fascination with computers and programming, ever since I was a child. I've been programming for most of my life, starting with basic Lua that I taught myself when I was around 8 years old. Since then, I've learned many new programming languages. In high school, I was taught Java in grade 11 and 12. The courses, and the teacher, Mr. De Poli, were the driving force for me to pursue a degree and career in the computer science field.

In university, my first year was much more of the same. More Java programming, and room to take almost any electives that I wanted. This provided an easy transition from high school to university. I'm currently in my second year, and I've been able to expand my knowledge of programming languages, learning C++ and C# in my first semester, and now learning MySQL and 8086 Assembly Language.

Hobbies in Computer Science

My knowledge and fascination with computer science extends past my education. Having grown up spending most of my time indoors, missing school due to illness, I grew a fondness and fascination with the computers I was around at the time. From this, a deep rooted interest in pre-XP era computers, operating systems, and software was formed.
